Try Tai Chi At Free Open House 2026

If you are curious to try the ancient health art of tai chi, you can do so at several upcoming free Open House events on the Sunshine Coast, hosted by the Taoist Tai Chi Society. Attendees can meet the instructors, learn about the health benefits and experience a few tai chi moves for themselves.
The free Open House events will be at Buderim, Caloundra, Landsborough, Maroochydore and Nambour (see dates below). They will be followed up by a course of weekly sessions (membership required) that will run for approximately 4 months.

The classes are weekly. These courses are designed for brand new beginners to experience tai chi and its many health and meditation benefits.

The ancient art of tai chi involves a sequence of slow continuous movements which improve balance, flexibility, and well-being. Tai chi works as a moving meditation that helps body and mind to become supple and strong.
These sessions are offered by the Taoist Tai Chi Society, a not-for-profit, charitable and volunteer organisation founded by Master Moy Lin Shin. The Society has over 50 years’ experience in making tai chi available in 25 countries around the world.
