Golden Beach
The Sunday Wanderers are a friendly walking group for people who enjoy keeping active while spending time with others.
Most Sunday afternoons we head off for a walk somewhere on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, usually covering between 3 to 6 Km. Everyone is welcome. If that distance is a little too much for you, feel free to come with a friend and enjoy a shorter walk before joining us afterwards.
The social side is just as important as the walk itself. After the walk we usually gather for a chat and some refreshments, either at a local cafe or by sharing something we’ve brought along. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, catch up with friends and enjoy good company.
If you are joining us for the first time we have a contact person who can help you find the group and answer any questions. They know the route, but are not a leader responsible for the safety of others. Everyone participates at their own risk and is responsible for their own well-being. All you need is:
The ability to walk 3-6 km (unless otherwise advised)
Comfortable walking shoes.
A drink.
A mobile phone.
Whether you are new to the area, looking to make friends, or simply enjoy a good walk we’d love to have you join us.

Hi wanderers.
This week, 3.00pm, we are meeting beside the Aquatic Centre, Cotton Tree, for our walk to Alex Headland. Can go either on the beach or the coastal path, depending on preferences, so before we set off we can decide on a venue for refreshments afterwards.

We’ve made the decision to cancel the wander, tomorrow 13th September, Mount Emu Trail. There were concerns it might be slippery underfoot given the rain and tomorrow’s forecast.

We can decide if we like it enough to add to the regular walks once we see how it goes?
Wanderers, car parking is a short walk from the trail so please meet near the parking.
Coming off The Sunshine Motorway take the 3rd exit onto Emu Mountain Road and the car parking is off Havana Road E.
I can’t see any tables to sit at so please make sure you have plenty of fluids for the walk. If we choose we can head to Coolum surf club for refreshments and a social get-together after the wander.

Wanderers, a new one for us! Situated between Maleny and Montville.
Address is 141 Baroon Pocket Road, North Maleny, 4552.
If the road above is followed to the very end we can meet there in the lake’s southern recreational area. BYO to enjoy and share after the walk. You can also give feedback on the trail and whether you’d like to see it again on the schedule. It’s a relatively short walk, listed as 2.2 km, but I’m sure very beautiful!
